Bouygues: The Metro Tunnel in 2022

As part of the CYP Design & Construction Joint Venture, Bouygues Construction Australia, Lendlease, and John Holland are building the Metro Tunnel Project in Melbourne, creating a new end-to-end rail line from Sunbury in the west to Cranbourne and Pakenham in the southeast, with bigger and better trains, next generation signalling technology and 5 new stations. Château de Purnon is an 18th century château located south of the Loire Valley in France. In 2020 Melbourne couple Tim Holding and Felicity Selkirk purchased Château de Purnon after a ‘coup de foudre’ and have been working tirelessly for the last three years to safeguard this extraordinary property and its domain. The restoration project is currently underway and involves a complete restoration of the Château roof and facades. Their journey has been full of ups and downs whilst living in the Château and navigating this enormous project.

Watch the recording of our live conversation with them on instagram, directly from the stunning Chateau itself as we find out what Chateau life is like, what it’s like as Australians to move to a small French village, the challenges and rewards of restoring a Chateau and how French life is treating these two Melbournians.
