Join us on Saturday 13 July AS WE UNCOVER melbourne's FRENCH SECRETS IN A WALKING TOUR OF THE CBD

Join this exclusive tour ending at the festival, visiting some of the iconic French businesses that have made Melbourne home, with everything from fashion, to food, transport, fragrance, wine, cosmetics, art and even taking a peek underground.

You will meet some of the incredible French characters who add to the rich multicultural tapestry of Melbourne and you will learn about their crafts, passions and history and how they have contributed to Melbourne life. 

Awaken all of your senses with this behind the scenes walking tour including stories, food and champagne and ending at the Bastille Day French Festival with a warming vin chaud.

These two tours will be guided by artist Carolyn Cardinet. 

Parisian and French born Carolyn Cardinet has crossed oceans to come to Australia 31 years ago. She is a very involved member within the Australian and French community. An experimental artist Carolyn has participated in The Bastille Day French Festival 2017 at the Meat Market, she opened her solo show at the Alliance Française de Melbourne in 2013 and her installations art pieces opened the French Film Festival 2017. 

This year Carolyn curated Bleached a multi-faceted program for ClimArte 2019 at the Alliance Française in St Kilda. Her art installation Plastic Traps is a feature in the fracture Gallery at Federation Square for this Bastille Day Festival.
